Joint Custody, is that too much to ask?
On Saturday, Nov 29th, I braved the freezing cold here in So Cal and waited in line at Gallery Nucleus. This is actually the second time I’ve been there for a book signing. The first time I was too impatient and just checked out Lela Lee’s latest Angry Little Girls! This time, Ken asked me to get his Fables Covers book signed by James Jean.
I met up with Cindy for dinner at Bistro 39. Let’s just say the best part of dinner was dessert. Their Creme Brulee was perfect. We walked about 2 blocks down to Gallery Nucleus. There was a short line, so I looked around and bought a book titled “Japanese Graphics – Beautiful Streamline” and the XOXO postcards book. Couldn’t have been there more than 15 minutes and the line was already out the door. We waited for about an hour. James Jean was really nice, I was so tempted to ask him to personalize the book to me. Didn’t think Ken would appreciate it. But I did get this:
